Default Moles! - 08-04-2008, 03:26 PM

Having had a serious problem with moles on a cricket pitch i look after, i have been using scissor traps to catch the moles and have had some success. However after several weeks i get more moles moving in to the old tunnels and causing more damage. Should i keep using the traps or does any one have any other ways to keep the moles away?

We had moles on our rugby pitch and we used some kind of gas pellet I think, seemed to work for a while but they came back.

They always do....

I've heard Jeyes Fluid works (pour it diluted down all the holes at the same time). My grandad used to put empty beer and milk bottles in the ground, but I'm not sure if this actually works.

Using traps is ok but you may want to try a mole repeller, as apposed to killing each individual mole you can keep all of them away, think its a post in the ground that vibrates or something and it keeps them away from that desired area.

Thinking your at a cricket club though you may need a few!!!!
